Don't let an appliance failure turn into a disaster. If your appliance is leaking
gas or water, follow the steps below immediately and then call for service.
My Appliance is Smoking
Shut off the circuit breaker to the appliance. If smoking persists or the situation seems unmanageable,
call your local fire department and exit the building. Once the situation is safe, call for service.
My Appliance Shocked Me
Shut off the circuit breaker, do not attempt to unplug the unit if it requires touching/laying over
appliance. Call for service.
1 Smell Gas
If you smell gas while you are using your appliance, shut the appliance off. If the smell persists or if
no one was using the appliance and you smell gas, exit the building and call the gas company
immediately.
Call for service after situation is deemed safe.

Leaking/Flooding
If you are using the appliance, turn the appliance off. If the leaking persists, locate the water
shutoff for the appliance and shut the water off. If the leak is unmanageable, call your local fire
department. Call for service after water is off.
